I wrote the lyrics to this one as a reaction to social post slamming people for wearing metal band t-shirts and not listening to those bands.

I get it, we care about the music more than these "influencers" BUT it was good exposure.

I remember hearing Slayer on the Gremlins II soundtrack and it totally opened my eyes (and ears) to thrash and heavier music.

So maybe we as a metal community should embrace exposure, and be open to people hearing about bands, regardless of how or where.

If we exclude people from the scene just because of how they hear about Metal then we become the "Posers" and not them.

I just as guilty of the Metal elitist mindset and in some ways this tune and its lyrics are a self parody.
